Brain Warrior Tip #2, tweaks time

BRAIN WARRIOR #2EHT.32 tweaks time……#brain warrior #goals #motivation

If you can change your mind, it must be possible to point your “laser focus” at another point in time. In this context, the laser sword of “Star Wars” is a force similar to an interrogation spotlight. In older mystery/spy/detective movies, a spotlight is placed on the suspect who is interrogated, intimidated, manipulated or forced to disclose a secret. The suspect is in the hot seat and it is uncomfortable at best. The overbearing attention is urgent and the secret is important. Let’s say you identified what is important and what is urgent to accomplishing your goal. Taking control of your laser and swinging it around over your head with the skill of a Jedi and its force landing on the important. That’s right, you just put what is important in the hot seat. Your stress may initially jump because you have to choose between the constant in-your-face urgent and the sporadic back burner important. Your workflow is interrupted and has to be re-balanced. Change requires unsettling movement or to use another word motivation.

.

However, the more you practice adjusting your timeframe to suit your goals, the easier it becomes. Accomplishing a goal requires behavioral adjustment on your part, or it joins the resolution ranks of New Years past. Change is a challenge naturally met with resistance, resulting in stress. Although the stressful bark tends to be worse than the bite of change, try persuading your mind when the urgent “to do” list is screaming for attention. You may be able to relate if you have ever takin a toddler on a quick shopping trip. Toddlers wants are indeed urgent and push you into the hot seat pretty quick.

.

To lower the stress, how about getting in touch what it will be like in the future when your goal is reached. The feelings of completion and the satisfaction of success. You might take your time warp a step further and link it to a person, place or thing that will be affected by your important achievement. How about contrasting the times when time raced and when time stood still? Your motivational traveling brain can take you down a different road. Your motivational imaging brain can lead you to another time zone. How about calling forth a charge of energy from a previous success. You did it then and that could have been a motivational mental muscle flex for the goal at hand. Your conscious mind is a powerful tool that you can program. It’s about time, when you setup an upgraded device. Making that new device your own and managing its properties on your terms.
